We Want You!

Last night, the KBHA Board of Directors approved the creation of two committees for the 2025 season. The KBHA is looking for volunteers to apply for either committee to contribute their passion, experience, and ideas for the betterment of our leagues. Committees will begin meeting in September. Members are expected to be consistently active in committee chat, attend virtual or in-person meetings at least once a month, and be able to take on small working tasks in their own time. Deadline for applications is September 7, 2024.

Provincial Organizing Committee

• Responsible for organizing and executing the 2025 BCBHA Provincial tournaments being held in Kamloops next year
• Create ancillary activities and events to draw spectators (adults and children) to the rink
• Work with our partnership manager to find fundraising opportunities and partnerships in the community
• Attract and schedule volunteers for various tasks including but not limited to announcing, playing music, supervising activities, etc.
• Create player of the game packages/awards

Adult Programming Committee

• Design surveys for competitive and recreational players
• Review responses to identify the key barriers of entry to each league
• Brainstorm new ideas to expand both competitive and recreation leagues
• Recommend, to the board, new rules/policy to achieve harmony between the adult leagues
