Company Overview:

Kamloops Ball Hockey Association is dedicated to promoting the sport of ball hockey in our community. We foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the game, aiming to provide a positive and engaging experience for players and fans alike. We are currently seeking a dynamic Social Media Manager to enhance our online presence for the 2025 season.


Key Responsibilities:

- Create engaging social media content to promote league activities and events.  

- Design and implement social media advertising campaigns.  

- Schedule and manage daily posts for scores and updates.  

- Feature "Player of the Week" posts celebrate outstanding athletes and our sponsors

- Produce occasional video and photo content from rinks to capture the action and excitement of games.  

- Collaborate with league managers and the sponsorship manager for coordinated messaging.  

- Manage and grow our Facebook and Instagram pages, and establish a TikTok presence.  

- Create content ramping up to and during the BC Ball Hockey Provincials July 4-6, and July 11-13


Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in social media management and content creation.  

- Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.  

- Excellent communication skills and a creative approach to storytelling and engagement

- Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.  

- Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with social media ad tools are a plus.  


This position starts immediately upon hire and is considered half volunteer and half stipend. The successful candidate will be offered a stipend of $1,000, disbursed in two payments: $500 on May 1, 2025 and $500 on July 1, 2025. The Social Media Manager will report directly to the board of directors. Hours in excess of 3 hours a week will be honored as volunteer hours toward professional or educational requirements.
